Beyond Blue — a PACT Group Show
Color is more than a mere pigment—it’s a language of emotion and possibility. In “Beyond Blue,” fifteen accomplished Professional Artists of Central Texas (PACT) interpret the theme by taking their art to a level Beyond Blue, transforming this fundamental palette staple into a gateway of artistic expression. Through still life, landscapes, and representational works in oil, acrylic, mixed media and ceramic, the exhibition invites viewers to journey beyond the traditional boundaries of a single color and into the rich expressions of the artists imagination.
Flora Cameron Collection
Art Center Waco is delighted to announce that it has officially accepted the Flora Cameron Art Collection, a distinguished and diverse assembly of approximately 80 artworks spanning realism, impressionism, abstract, and modern styles. This remarkable collection has been generously entrusted to ACW by the Flora Cameron Foundation, and we are grateful for the Foundation’s desire to place the collection in Waco to further the center’s mission statement, “Art is for Everyone.”
This collection features works by numerous national and international artists, showcasing a broad spectrum of artistic expression and techniques. A highlight of the collection is the stunning “Le Cirque” by Marc Chagall, a celebrated artist whose dream-like depictions of the circus captivate audiences worldwide. Once unveiled, the Flora Cameron Crichton Gallery will serve as an inspiring educational resource and cultural destination for aspiring artists, students, and art lovers alike.
Art Center Waco will open a Cameron Preview exhibit that showcases a portion of the collection opening March 27th. This curation will be on view through end of April and construction will start soon after. The center will continue to host exhibits and programming throughout construction.
