These compelling oil paintings chronicle the life and legacy of legendary cowman and plainsman Charles Goodnight, capturing the historical significance of the cattle drive era and its pivotal role in shaping the American West.

Cable’s artwork brings to life the rugged spirit and enduring influence of one of the West’s most celebrated figures, offering visitors an intimate glimpse into a defining chapter of American frontier history.

This traveling exhibit is made possible through a partnership between The Bryan Museum (Galveston) in collaboration with The Susan Kathleen Black Foundation.
