FAQ
Q: What happens if I need to cancel?
Cancellations are only possible up to 2 weeks before the start date of your camp, and incur a $15 cancellation fee. If you need to cancel less than 2 weeks before camp starts, Art Center Waco will not be able to give you a refund unless you can find a friend to take your child’s place.
Q: Is there any financial assistance for summer camp?
If cost is something that will prevent your student from taking part, please get in touch by e-mailing annalauren@artcenterwaco.org as we are delighted to provide a limited number of partial scholarships.
Q: Can My child attend both the morning and afternoon of a half day camp?
In a given half-day camp week, each age group will be creating something different in the morning and afternoon, so your child is welcome to attend both. However, in the half-day camps you (or a carer or friend) will pick up your child and give them lunch between classes. Morning students will have the option to take a free lunch with them, provided by Waco ISD.
Q: How young can a child be when they come to camp?
Art Center Waco offers camps to children who have completed their Kindergarten year and are at least 5 or 6 years old. Children who are entering 1st grade are welcome to attend any of our elementary camps, though in our experience, children who are just entering 1st grade have an optimal learning experience at Half Day camps so they can rest after a busy morning of creativity!
