“Beyond Blue”, featuring new works by 18 Professional Artists of Central Texas (PACT) members, showcasing still life, landscapes and representational works in Oil, Acrylic and mixed media.
To an artist, it’s the primary color on the palette that is most often used. To a child, it’s the shortest crayon in the box at the end of a school year. In an informal conversation, blue might describe one’s emotion in a state of depression. Blue can be used to suggest the cold of winter, and the vast depth of a sky. Would we be able to imagine a world without blue?
Our PACT artists are challenged to interpret the theme by taking their art to a level Beyond Blue! As you view the work, analyze how each artist created an artwork by going Beyond Blue, in whichever direction it takes them.
